Through a virtual workshop “Road to Career” The British School of Kosovo has launched the Center for Orientation and Career Counseling, led by Mrs. Nora Kastrati. The main purpose of the functioning of this career counseling center lies in informing, orienting, advising and familiarizing students with professions.
Participants in this workshop were a selected group of 11th graders. The students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of Mrs. Laura Krypa, mother of a school student, who is a chemist by profession, who spoke about the opportunities offered by the profession of chemist.
Also, to share their experience on the selection of the university they made after graduating from high school, participants in this workshop were former students of our school, Artina Ibrahimi, Margarita Bërbatovci, students at AAB College and Diella Duga, student with full scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania in the US.
Due to the situation we are going through as a result of the pandemic, the operation of the center will be developed virtually. Students will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge about professions, careers and entrepreneurship. The center aims to maximally contribute to the development of skills, abilities and potentials of each student by giving them the opportunity to explore their professional interests.
